🏘️ Community Development Policy Consultation

At Freebridge, we believe that vibrant, connected communities are at the heart of tenant wellbeing.

We know that the best ideas, insights, and improvements come from the people who live and work in our neighbourhoods -that’s why your voice matters.

We are currently reviewing our Community Development Policy, which guides how we support local people, projects, and partnerships across West and North Norfolk.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on this policy to make sure it truly reflects your priorities and experiences.

📝 About the Policy

Our Community Development Policy sets out how we work with tenants, residents, and local organisations to help communities thrive.

The policy focuses on:

  • Championing local voices through initiatives like Community Voices sessions and the Customer Insight Panel, ensuring everyone has the chance to shape what happens in their area.

  • Reducing isolation in rural and coastal areas by tackling barriers such as digital exclusion and access to services.

  • Creating lasting impact, with every project designed to be sustainable and community-led.

  • Encouraging intergenerational connections, from youth empowerment to older adult wellbeing.

  • Building partnerships with councils, schools, health services, and local groups to make sure our work is relevant and effective.

  • Measuring what matters, focusing on wellbeing, engagement, and community satisfaction - not just numbers.

The full policy document is available below for you to read in detail.

💬 Why Your Feedback Matters

Your experiences, ideas, and perspectives help shape how we deliver community development.
By taking part in this consultation, you can help us:

  • Make sure the policy meets local needs

  • Identify any gaps or challenges we may have missed

  • Strengthen our approach so it truly reflects the values and voices of our customers
