You will be aware of the very current concerns regarding Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) in the media, and naturally you may have questions or concerns about what this means for your home.
We take the health and safety of all customers very seriously and have begun immediate work to investigate whether any of our properties contain RAAC, using all of the information and expertise available to us.
The RSH (Regulator of Social Housing) has said its understanding is that RAAC has not been used widespread in social housing construction, but landlords should know whether their homes do contain RAAC and should develop robust plans to ensure customer safety where it is found.
We are working quickly and carefully to finish these investigations, and at this stage we have not identified any buildings of concern. We have specialist companies on standby to assist should we find anything that we need to test further.
