    If you are looking for activities for your children under 5 years old, The Lynn Museum early years' sessions are continuing.


    Once a month children and their families can explore the Museum with a variety of activities, trails, songs, games and stories.


    These sessions have a different theme each month, with Septembers session focusing on dinosaurs!
    The sessions are specially designed for early years learning, allowing young children the chance to explore the museum in their own way.


    Activities are designed for children under 5s with each session costing 50p. Older siblings are welcome to attend. Accompanying adults attend for free.


    21 September: Dinosaurs
    19 October: Autumn
    9 November: Nursery Rhymes*
    21 December: The Tiger Who Came to Tea Christmas Party


    * Please note that November's session will be held a week earlier than normal due to exhibition installation.

    Get ready for some roar-some fun! On Saturday 4th November at the St George’s Guildhall’s first Dragon Festival.

    From 12 noon – 4pm there will be a range of activities and workshops to enjoy.
    • Test your aim on the archery range with Grey Goose Archery
    • Meet real ‘dragons’ and more creatures with the team from The Animal Experience
    • Watch In Search of St George a short play by Time Will Tell Theatre Company
    • Choose scales or sparkles with Crazy Skins facepainting
    • Find out about medieval weapons and warfare
    • Make dragon mobiles and have a go at brass rubbing at the craft tables
    • Take part in the Deadly Dragons trail
    At 4pm head to the St George’s Guildhall theatre for the feature film How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World [PG] run time 1hr 44mins
    Children can collect their free popcorn in the foyer before the film starts.

    The third Summer of Play, an initiative between the borough council and Alive West Norfolk that gave young people access to a range of activities, has been extended to the autumn half term with some activities priced at £1 or 50p with a concession.

    ON NOW at Stories of Lynn – Retro Games: A Gaming Journey from Arcade to Xbox


    The Retro Games exhibition charts the rise of video gaming. Starting with the early days of arcades in the 70s, the show moves through the decades of gaming development taking in some of the key vintage consoles.
    Visitors can also play on Pac-Man and Mortal Combat II arcade games for free.
