Free Electrical Fire Safety Day

People in West Norfolk have the chance to find out about fire safety and get their electric blankets and portable heaters tested.
This will take place at King’s Lynn North Fire Station on Thursday March 7 from 10.30am to 4pm.
Norfolk Trading Standards will also be there, who can give help on safety and advice with different products, and Healthwatch Norfolk who can give advice on getting health and social care.
And just as a reminder, here's some Fire safety advice in the home from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service
- Test your smoke alarm regularly
- Stay at least one metre from any portable heaters
- Charge devices when you are awake, alert and around
- Keep tea towels and oven gloves away from gas hobs
It's also useful to know that the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service offer free Home Fire Safety visits for people over 65 or anyone who has a disability that could make it more difficult to react to a fire.
