Determine your eligibility and apply for the discount, it's essential to get in touch with your electricity provider promptly. Don't delay, as the number of available discounts is limited!
What does the Discount Scheme offer?
Through the Warm Home Discount Scheme, you could receive a £150 reduction on your electricity bill for the winter months of 2023 to 2024. It's important to note that this money won't be given to you directly; instead, it will be a one-time deduction from your electricity bill, spanning from October 2023 to March 2024.
If your energy supplier provides both gas and electricity services and you meet the eligibility criteria, you may also be eligible for a discount on your gas bill. In this case, reach out to your energy supplier to inquire about this possibility.
Eligibility
There are different ways to qualify for the Warm Home Discount Scheme depending on where you live.
If you live in England and Wales you qualify if you either:
- You get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit
- You are on a low income and have high energy costs
