Have your say: EDI Policy
At Freebridge, we want every customer, colleague, and community member to feel seen, valued, and respected. A safe home and a welcoming community are the foundations for dignity and belonging - and our approach to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) is central to making that a reality.
We’re currently reviewing our EDI Policy & Strategy, which shapes how we deliver fair services, remove barriers, support our workforce, and ensure everyone has a voice. This isn’t just a policy for us - it’s a commitment to treating people with compassion, respect, and understanding, no matter their background or circumstances.
Our updated EDI Policy & Strategy recognises that the communities of West and North Norfolk are diverse in many ways - age, health, geography, culture, identity, and lived experience. It acknowledges that inequality can be visible or hidden, and that inclusion sometimes means adapting, listening differently, or taking extra steps to make sure people can access the support they need.
The policy outlines how we will:
Provide fair, accessible and inclusive services
Listen to and act on the voices of tenants and customers
Build a diverse and representative workforce
Support colleagues with training, tools and inclusive leadership
Monitor our progress and learn continually
Challenge discrimination and remove barriers wherever we find them
💬 Why Your Voice Matters
We can only deliver truly inclusive services if we listen to the people who use them.
Your experiences - good or bad - help us understand what needs to change, where gaps exist, and how we can improve the way we communicate, engage and support our communities.
By taking part in this consultation, you are helping shape our approach to equality, diversity, and inclusion for the years ahead.
Your feedback will be used to refine and strengthen the final version of the Policy & Strategy before it is approved.
